Government backed targets mean that by 2010, the UK must reduce the amount of biodegradable waste sent to landfill by 75% of 1995 levels. This together with the introduction of Animal By-Products (ABP) regulation EN1774/2002 has led to new requirements within the waste and recycling industry for vehicles specifically designed for the collection of food, green, kitchen and ABPs to help divert the bio-waste factions from landfill sites to alternative methods such as aneorobic digestion. In answer to this need Terberg Matec UK Ltd. has developed a range of bio-waste collection vehicle bodies which are designed in accordance with all current European directives for the collection and transportation of food waste and ABP materials including EN1774/2002. The current product line-up includes the ABUV, available in 3.5t GVW, 7.5t GVW and 12 tonne upwards GVW, together with the Toploader® BioWaste and Toploader® BioWaste ABP. |
