Birth number calculator

This birth number calculator reads what the ancient system calls moolank मूलाङ्क. This is the number taken from the day of the month you were born. It is the temperament people meet first, and it carries your good weekdays and the dates of any month that belong to you.

Free, like every reading here. Nothing you type is stored, logged, or written down, and there is no account to make. It is given freely.

Use the name people actually call you at work. First name and family name. No middle name or title. If you married and now use a different name, use the name you use today.

Say your papers read Jennifer Marie Caldwell. At work you are Jen Caldwell. Your family calls you Jenny. Write Jen Caldwell.

The page on where these numbers come from covers names and dates in more detail.

Your birth date is enough for most readings. If you were born in the small hours before sunrise, say so in your question and include your birth time and place if you know them. In the ancient Vedic system, a very early-morning birth can belong to the previous day.

Nothing you type is stored. Your name and your date travel to my own software, produce the reading, and then go. No account, no list, no database.

Take the day of the month you were born and reduce it. That is your moolank, the fastest of the six to work out and the fastest to feel true.

It reads temperament. Not the arc of a life, not what you want in private. The thing people meet in the first ten minutes.

The practical use is scheduling. Your moolank fixes weekdays that run easy for you and dates in any month that belong to you. Keep it somewhere you can see it. Put the hard conversation on one of your dates. Sign on one. Open on one. People who use it for nothing else use it for this.

Born on the 5th, the 14th or the 23rd? Same number. The system does not care which of the three, and that surprises people who expect the calendar to matter more.

One thing to get right. If you were born before sunrise, the ancient system reads that as the day before. A birth at four in the morning on the 10th is a 9th, and the number changes completely. Most people do not know their birth time that closely. If you do not, use the date on the certificate and leave it there.

Your birth number and your life path number often disagree, and the disagreement is information. It is the distance between who you are met as and where you are going. Naming that distance is usually a relief.
